YULA jumped out to an early 6-3 lead, but North Shore responded and finished the quarter on an 8-0 run to take an 11-6 lead into the second. YULA was not deterred, finding their groove on offense and cutting the lead down to 2 at the half. The third quarter was a replica of the first, as North Shore clamped down on defense and didn’t let YULA get anything going offensively.

The fourth quarter was as entertaining as it gets. North Shore extended its lead to 9 early on and it looked like they had the game in the bag. With 3:11 left and North Shore up by 1, David Orbach converted an and-1 to extend the lead to four, but was then called for a technical foul after which YULA made both free throws to cut the lead back to two. Orbach then committed a foul on a three point attempt and Judah Robin hit two of three free throws to tie the game at 42. A minute later, Yoni Holender hit a huge three to give YULA the lead with 1:52 left. Later, with YULA up 2 and 26 seconds left, Jonah Carmili was called for a charge. Robin then made 2 free throws to extend the lead back to four, but Carmili would hit a huge three with 10 seconds left to cut the lead to one. North Shore then stole the inbounds and had a chance to win the game at the buzzer but weren’t able to score and YULA held on for the win.
