The #14-seeded Fuchs Mizrachi Mayhem will take on the #3-seeded Frisch Cougars in a Tier I qualifier on Thursday at 8:30 PM.
Frisch enters the Sarachek tournament as a top contender under Coach Zach Tuchman, who assumed head coaching duties midseason. The Cougars find themselves in a reversed position from last year’s tournament, while ending as a #14 seed. That run included an upset over DRS, capped by a Nathan Neufeld buzzer-beater in the Tier I qualifier, before ultimately falling to Berman in the Tier I quarterfinals. Most of Frisch’s roster is returning and finished first in their Yeshiva League division before a tough semifinal loss to SAR. The Cougars are led by Isaac Stepner, one of the top talents in Sarachek and a former Varsity All-Star Game MVP, who can score at will and dominate the boards. He is supported by Neufeld’s transition scoring, Judah Suss’s versatility, and the steady play of Jesse Reinhart.

Fuchs Mizrachi enters with hopes of playing spoiler once again. After finishing last year as the #18 seed and Tier III runners-up, the Mayhem return with a strong continuity and a reputation as a "tough out." Under Coach Zac Katz, the team is led by Moshe Jacobs, a dynamic slasher. Elisha Pizem serves as the floor general and defensive leader, while Elitzur Sharvit adds elite shooting and the ability to handle heavy ball pressure.
