Shalhevet downs DRS 60-41; advance to fourth consecutive championship

Zack Muller caught the ball on the edge of the three point line and passed the ball high on the right side of the rim. Jacob Benezra jumped high in the air, catching the ball with two hands and slamming it down hard. The lob finished off a 14-0 run by Shalhevet to end the half. Shalhevet would take a 31-19 lead into the half and never look back.

Noah Rossi and the rest of the Firehawks dominated the DRS Wildcats in the second half. Shalhevet put the finishing touches in the fourth quarter finishing off the game with a 60-41 victory.


The DRS Wildcats did an excellent job sticking with the top seeded Firehawks in the first quarter, and led 13-11 after one. Gavriel Kahns offense and AJ Bennet’s excellent defense and three point shooting helped keep this game close in the first half.


Shalhevet will now advance to their fourth straight championship and are looking to win back-to-back titles. They will face the winner of Magen David vs. SAR right here on MacsLive.com.

DRS will play in the third place game vs. the loser.
