The (1) SAR Sting will face the (4) DRS Wildcats in the Tier I Semifinals. In their quarterfinal game, SAR pulled away from the Flatbush Falcons, with an efficient offensive game, to win by a score of 65-43. DRS started slowly against Shalhevet, but after containing the Shalhevet offense, went on a huge run and won big, 57-42.
The Wildcats got big performances from several different contributors. Aryeh Ivry poured in 19 points and added eight rebounds. Isaac Solomon had 17 points of his own, while Isaac Thurm added 14 points with five rebounds and five steals. The Wildcats defense was able to hold Shalhevet to 30% from the field.
SAR got big contributions from Josh Brody and Itai Berkowitz in their win over Flatbush. Brody scored 17, while Berkowitz came off the bench and scored 16. The game was tight in the beginning, but relentless offensive output from the Sting became too much for Flatbush to handle as the game progressed.
