In a battle for a spot in the Tier IV Championship, the Hebrew Academy of Montreal defeated the Southern California Yeshiva, 65-49.
Both teams started off with a strong defensive effort. A back and forth battle in the first half ended with SCY High grabbing a 28-25 lead. The second half began with more of the same, and the game remained tight until the final period. The fourth quarter was when turnovers finally plagued the Hawks. Yoni Drazin and the Heat outscored SCY High 22-13 in the final period and pulled away.
Seeded at #19, the Montreal Heat will face the Cooper Macs in the Tier IV Championship. That game will take place Monday morning. Be sure to catch all the action right here on MacsLive.com.
