Amidst YU intersession, the Macs just keep handling their Skyline business.
With the win over Purchase, Yeshiva improved to 6–0 in conference play, now sitting at a staggering +87 point differential against Skyline opponents. For context, the non-conference slate has been a grind — 1–8 with a −95 differential.
St. Joseph’s Brooklyn enters this contest winless in the conference, yet they are better than their record would indicate. These games are often the most dangerous games for a team like YU.

Start Serious, Stay Serious:
This is a focus game. Against a struggling St. Joseph’s Brooklyn team, the biggest opponent is complacency. If the Macs come out sharp — cutting with purpose, defending without reaching, and valuing each possession — they can control this game early and avoid unnecessary stress. No slow starts, no drifting.
Defend the Arc Without Overhelping:
Even against lesser opponents, the Skyline has shown one trend: teams will fire from deep if given daylight. YU can’t afford lazy closeouts or overhelping off shooters. Clean rotations and disciplined perimeter defense will keep St. Joe’s from hanging around longer than they should.
Balanced Offense, No Hero Ball:
When the ball moves, the Macs are at their best. Trust the pass, attack mismatches, and let the game come naturally. Continued contributions from Yair Dovrat, Roy Itcovich, Yoav Oselka, Dothan Bardichev, alongside the scoring punch of Zevi Samet and Max Zakheim, keeps defenses honest and prevents the offense from stagnating.
