Amherst enters the matchup with a record of 2-2 and is led by guard Canin Reynolds, averaging 9.3 points per game. Noah Helmke is both their second-leading scorer as well as their second-leading rebounder. The size of leading rebounder 6’10 Will Scherer can cause problems for the Macs if they fail to box out on missed shots.

Amherst is averaging 60.7 points per game as a team while shooting just 38.7% from the field. Their scoring distribution is balanced, with no player averaging 10 points per game. They have struggled to generate turnovers on defense, only forcing 10 per game while committing 16 themselves.
