Gameday Preview: #4 DRS vs. #5 TABC

Updated: Sep 2, 2019

After a commanding 53-27 victory in their first game on Thursday, TABC looks to continue its hot streak in the tourney against a strong DRS Wildcats team.

DRS comes into Sarachek ranked one spot higher than TABC as the #4 seed. Left handed specialist, and captain, Gavriel Kahn looks to ignite the Wildcats and lead them to their first Sarachek victory since 2016. Natey Simantov and Zach Brown will look to provide extra scoring and defense, while PG Noah Rhine has the clutch gene to carry DRS far into this tournament.

In the battle of all-boy schools, watch for both fan bases to be extraordinarily loud and try to get in opposing players’ heads throughout the contest. TABC should be looking to get Proctor involved to continue his scoring and will likely get Akiva Hain more involved on the perimeter. DRS’s hard-nosed mentality will spark their defensive effort and use their athletic scorers in Kahn and Brown to push the ball in transition. Expect a high scoring game from both sides and a game that should come down to the final buzzer.
