Ari Schuman hit a dagger three pointer with five minutes on the clock, and the Fasman fans erupted. He had just given the Yishiva a 41-27 lead with around five minutes to go. Akiva Lafer dribbled through a few defenders before laying the ball in the hoop with 2:08 on the clock, putting the finishing touches on a Fasman victory.
The first half was a back and forth affair, with Fasman grabbing a 23-18 lead after the first half. Schuman, Lafer, and Doni Miretzki led the attack for Fasman, which pulled away from Valley Torah in the third quarter. In addition, the Fasman defense did a nice job limiting Uzi Mermelstein and Akiva Kamornick of the Wolfpack.
Fasman completed the victory, winning 50-34, and now will play hosts MTA in a Yishiva vs Yeshiva matchup for Tier II champion. That game will be played at 1:00 PM tomorrow. Catch all the action right here on MacsLive.com.
