(14) Fuchs Mizrachi Regain Their Form, Take Down (19) Maimonides 63-55

In a Tier II Qualifying game at TABC, the Fuchs Mizrachi Mayhem defeated the Maimonides M-Cats 63-55. Fuchs led for most of the game, but the M-Cats came back and made it close towards the end.

The first quarter was very fast paced, and the Mayhem were up 17-13 before Maimonides hit a buzzer beating layup to pull within 2.

Fuchs really pulled away in the second quarter, putting up 21 points in the frame. They got more aggressive on defense, leading to steals and fast break opportunities, and they started to hit their shots in their half court offense. They took a 38-22 lead into halftime.

The third quarter is when Maimonides started to crawl back into this game, as they remained patient on offense and made sure to get the best looks possible.

The M-Cats then shrunk their 16 point halftime deficit to 6 late in the fourth quarter, but it too was little too late as Fuchs Mizrachi was able to rebound from Thursday’s loss to TABC and win by eight to pick up their first victory at this year’s Sarachek Tournament.

With the win, Fuchs Mizrachi will move on to face Frisch on Saturday night at 10PM at RYNJ, while Maimonides will head to the Max Stern Athletic Center to take on the SCY High Hawks on Saturday night at 11:30PM.
