The Macslive web development team has been at it again, working hard to make major updates to Macslive.com. We are proud to announce our newest features:
- A tournament bracket has been added and can be accessed from the navigation bar at the top of the site. Each tier can be accessed by clicking the appropriate button above the bracket.
- “A Little Bit of English: The Sarachek Blog” is our new home for in-depth analysis and opinion on the goings-on of the Red Sarachek Tournament. It is our hope that this new section will foster healthy conversation about the Tournament. Please remember that the opinions posted in the blog are not the official opinion of Macslive.com or Yeshiva University.
- In order to allow for a two-way discussion, we have added the ability for our readers to comment on any news article or blog post.
- In order to make it even easier to follow the tournament, Macslive.com now has three RSS feeds. Most modern browsers (IE7, Firefox, Opera & Safari) will detect the RSS feeds and will show an icon (usually orange) to the right of the address bar. Clicking on that icon will allow you to subscribe to the feed and receive automatic updates from Macslive.com straight to your browser. If your browser does not detect the RSS feed, you can click on “RSS” on the navigation bar to subscribe to the feeds.
- Now that we have statistics history from last year’s Tournament, we have added team and individual statistics history, viewable on each team’s page and by clicking on individual players’ names.
- We have redesigned our front page to give you more immediate access to the most recent news. In addition, we have changed our entire color scheme to blue, in the hopes that it will be easier to read.
We hope that these upgrades will make the Macslive experience a better one for you, and if you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to send us a line using the contact form or leave a comment below. And keep an eye out for new features to be added throughout the next two weeks!
